Grant Lerdahl
Grant has been mountain biking and road cycling since 2002 because he loved the exercise. He joined the high school swim team in 2004 because his best friends were on the team and had great abs. Grant's abs didn't get any better, but he started doing triathlons that fall. For Grant, triathlons are an experiment to see how good he can get, and he loves the workouts. He has done 28 short course triathlons, winning 8, and completing one Half Ironman. He is the current president of the BYU Triathlon Club/Team and is looking to place well in the collegiate races this spring.
His other passions include figure sculpture and classical guitar.
James Lawrence
Originally from Canada, James was introduced to triathlon by a close friend who said James would never be as fast as he was. That simple challenge has turned into a passion for the sport. He been racing now since 2005 and absolutely loves it. He has created his own little quest called "Tri and Give a Dam". In 2010 he will be competing in over 20 half ironman races to raise awareness to build dams and help with the water crisis in other parts of the world.
Jameson King
Jameson recently returned from placing 10th American at the ITU Sprint World Championships in Australia. He started into triathlons in 2005 with little-to-no experience in any of the disciplines of triathlon, but has now turned these weaknesses into strengths, especially swimming and biking. In early 2008 he created the BYU Triathlon Club and later progressed it to become a competing team.
Jameson is preparing to be competitive in his first half Ironman in 2010 as well as his focus of qualifying for the World Championships that will be held in Beijing, China in 2011.
